Words that are synonymous with Colorado living is SNOW and SKIING. While, many of us are thinking more about thawing out and the arrival of spring and summer, it is not too early to plan that family outing for a ski trip for next winter. If you have children and want to give them the opportunity to try skiing, there is a great program for the 2015-2016 ski season that is affordable.
According to the Denver Post, Vail Resorts is expanding their 5th Grade Ski Passport program to include children from kindergarten to fifth grade. The Epic SchoolKids Colorado Pack program offers K-5th graders the opportunity to sign-up for the 2015-2016 Ski Season for FREE. This includes a free ski lesson with equipment in January 2016 – Vail Resort’s Learn to Ski & Snowboard Month (see Epic Kid’s website for date restrictions).
According Vail Resort’s website, in order to sign-up you will need:
- The child present
- A school report card or birth certificate
- A picture of the child
Sign-up now through Memorial Day and there may be limits to the number of sign-ups, so don’t put off signing-up. To find out more about the program, sign-up requirements, and where to sign-up, visit the website at http://www.snow.com/epic-pass/info/epickids.aspx
